Project Summary

A large detached garage was renovated and converted into a recreation building with pinball machines, billiards, lounge area, and of course, bowling. There was enough room for two shortened ten-pin (big ball) lanes and one single Duckpin Social lane. The velvet upholstered walls work well for acoustics. The scoring tablet controls were separated on their own pedestals for each lane. A limited ceiling height meant the scoring monitors had to be wall-mounted instead of hung from the ceiling.

"We recently purchased a property that included a detached 8-car garage (the previous owner collected classic cars). As it was, the space was totally useless to us. We started thinking how fun it would be if we converted it into a game room that family and friends could enjoy. Having no idea if it was possible, I suggested how much fun it would be to have a bowling alley. Little did I know that my comment would lead us to Fusion Bowling! The initial meeting with our general contractor and Ryan Claxton of Fusion Bowling generated only positive vibes that this could indeed work! I must say that Fusion Bowling did an outstanding job of working through all the obstacles generated by the COVID Pandemic. Each and every member of the crew who came to do the physical work was cheerful, considerate and very hard working. Our re-purposed empty 8-car garage has been converted to a fun play room with not only a pool table and game machines, but features two bowling lanes and one duckpin lane complete with automatic scorers and pinsetters. The package deal included a full selection of balls and shoes of all sizes, so family and friends can just show up and have a grand time!"
