I don’t know about you, but I hate it when I simply need to get an idea of how much something costs, and I’m forced to make a phone call and talk to a pushy salesperson. We try to make our in-home bowling alley pricing as fair, all-inclusive, and straight forward as possible. The prices are consistent regardless of who the customer is. In other words, we don’t jack up the price when we discover that the homeowner is a movie star or professional athlete.

There are different packages to choose from, each having optional and unique customizations. The most affordable includes only the essentials, but can be upgraded to include all the bells & whistles.

The cost of every home bowling alley package we sell includes architectural plan review, pre-installation site visits during construction of the home, help in selection of colors and upgrades, high-end commercial-grade equipment from Brunswick, delivery to your home, installation labor, and training. How long is a home bowling alley?

The ideal size room for a home bowling alley is about 100 feet long. For a regulation size lane, the bowling equipment requires 89 feet, but most people also want to have a seating area in front of the bowling lane, which is usually around 11 feet long, which results in a nice round number of 100 total feet for the entire room. The bowling equipment itself consists of the approach (where the bowler walks), the lane (where the ball rolls), the pinsetter machine, and a service aisle (a space between the pinsetter machine and the back wall)… those four elements add up to the 89 feet. If you don’t have enough space for a 100-foot long home bowling alley room, you could save some space by placing your seating area to the side of the approach (instead of in front of the approach). If you don’t need a full, regulation size bowling alley in your home, then we could cut and splice the lane materials to shorten the bowling alley some. The approach could be shortened by up to 6 feet, and the lane (between the foul line and the pins) could, in theory, be reduced to almost zero. How short is too short for a bowling lane? How do I buy and install a bowling alley for my home?

A full-blown commercial-grade, regulation-size bowling alley in your home involves a large amount of very specialized equipment. It’s not really a project that a DIY handy man could conquer. For a pair of lanes (the most common configuration in homes), all of the bowling equipment weighs about 20,000 pounds, and consists of thousands of parts, and the installation work requires specialized tools and skills.
